Víctor Aldea (1973) is specialised in children and young adult literature, writer, and translator. In 1987, with his first short story, he won the Sant Jordi Prize for young readers. In 1993, he started writing articles for the children and yound adult magazine CLIJ. In 2002, he published in Catalan Obansheë (Columna), his first adult novel, which obtained La Primera Columna Prize. After a long stay to the United States, he comes back to Catalonia and publishes, in 2016, Els caçadors de bunyols (Estrella Polar/Grupo Planeta), for first readers, illustrated by Cristina Losantos. In Septembre 2017, he publishes, with illustrations of Javier Andrada, L’Estevet, quin ratolí! (Cruïlla), also for first readers, of which there will be a second part in 2019.
